Are liberals pissed?
Yesterday, RealClearPolitics posted a story claiming that liberal revolt in the democratic party over health care was a myth. Nooooo, they claim, democrats are very happy.

BULLSHIT. I have proof.

The following chart is a chart of the daily population of Obama_2008 on LJ. Notice that big drop? The day the population dropped by 60 people? That's the day that Howard Dean said the Senate Health Care bill should be killed.

Liberals and progressives (Yes, they ARE different) are very pissed off and, once again, the Democratic Party intends to ignore it and dismiss it. They do so at their peril.

That story on RealClearPolitics is a load of shit. To get a sense of credibility for any story, you have to look at who the writer and publisher/aggregator are.

RealClearPolitics is nothing more than Faux News in sheep's clothing. While Faux News is blatant in its spin, RCP is creative and works hard to create the false image of neutrality that Faux News merely claims with a nudge-nudge, wink-wink. Founders McIntyre and Bevan are hard-core conservatives from Wall Street and Ad Agency Land (which explains the improved subtlety). Bevan has actually said "we have a frustration all conservatives have", which is "the bias in media against conservatives, religious conservatives, [and] Christian conservatives." During the last election, they were accused of spinning the news aggregation on the site to favor McCain. The current 51% shareholder is Forbes Media, which proudly nicknames itself "The Capitalist Tool." Huzzah, we have a classier, more polished version of Rupert Murdock steering the boat.

As for the writer, David Paul Kuhn is... interesting. Facially, he appears to be closer to the democratic side of the world, and his writing shows up in left media like HuffPo, but his politics are funky. He named Obama a "San Fran Liberal Elitist" during the campaign. The title of his book, "The Neglected Voter: White Men and the Democratic Dilemma," shows his colors as a crony for the good 'ol white boy network. Many of his articles talk about how men, especially white men, are getting shafted. He also seems to dislike providing information about himself. See his bio, as a senior political writer for Politico.com (http://www.politico.com/reporters/DavidPaulKuhn.html) where he writes "n/a" in the bio. He is a motivational speaker (run! phoney alert!) through McMillan Speakers where, among other things, he speaks on "The male side of the gender gap." (Oh, poor lad! His gender is so oppressed!) In other words, when you look at his work a picture comes together of a shill for the DLC DINOs

So, what's my point? Kuhn and the conservative media boys who are aggregating promoting his writing are on the same side. They'd like to marginalize the real left and Obama at the same time by tying them together. Look! Obama is screwing up, and the radical left luuuuuuuurves him more than ever!!! It's pretty pathetic, and the article is worth squat.
